Black Myth: Wukong
In the world of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, the legendary ninja Joe Musashi’s path to vengeance is filled with a variety of enemies, challenges, and, most importantly, secrets. While the game’s main story is a compelling journey, the true test of your shinobi skills lies in your ability to track down and collect all of the hidden Oboro Relics. These glowing, diamond-shaped collectibles are much more than a simple achievement; they are the key to unlocking new abilities, skills, and outfits that will make your journey significantly easier and more rewarding.
There are five Oboro Relics hidden in each level of Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, and they are often tucked away in hard-to-reach places that require a combination of platforming skills and advanced Ningi. Collecting all of them is a long and challenging process, but the reward is well worth it, as you’ll be able to purchase powerful new moves and even a special outfit. If you’re looking to become a true master of the stealth arts, here is a complete guide to finding every Oboro Relic in the game.
Oboro Relics, Explained
Oboro Relics are a core part of the game’s progression system. There are a total of 55 Oboro Relics in the game, and they are used as a form of currency to unlock new items at the Yokai Shopkeeper’s shop. As you give the shopkeeper more relics, his inventory will expand, giving you access to powerful new Ninjutsu techniques, weapon upgrades, and cosmetic outfits. Some of the best moves and items in the game are locked behind this system, making the relics an essential part of getting 100% completion.
Keep in mind that some relics are impossible to get on your first playthrough, as you will need certain skills like the Sword Dive or the Ninja Hook to access certain areas. The game’s map will highlight secret areas with a purple background, but it’s up to you to figure out how to get to them.
Oboro Village Relics
The first level in the game, Oboro Village, is a deceptively simple tutorial level that hides a number of secrets. Here is where you can find all five relics:
- The Training Ground Relic: This relic is given to you as a part of the tutorial, so you can’t miss it. It is the very first one you’ll get in the game, and it will introduce you to the mechanic of giving the relics to the shopkeeper.
- The Waterfall Relic: To get this relic, you’ll need to go to the very top of the waterfall. You can reach it by using a combination of wall running and air dashing.
- The Attic Relic: This relic is one of the more difficult ones to get. To reach it, you’ll need to go into the burning building near the end of the level. The relic is located in the attic of the building, which can be reached by using your air dash and a series of well-timed wall runs.
- The Hidden Cave Relic: To get this relic, you’ll need to find a secret cave hidden behind a Yokai Barrier. You can find the barrier in the lower part of the map, and you’ll need to use your Sword Dive Ningi to break it.
- The Final Relic: The final relic in this level is located in a hidden area near the final boss. You’ll need to use your air dash to get to a secret platform, and the relic is in a chest at the end of the path.
Lantern Festival Relics
The Lantern Festival level is a beautiful and chaotic stage that is filled with a number of secrets. Here are the five relics in this level:
- The Rooftops Relic: This one is easy to find. It is located on a rooftop near the very beginning of the level.
- The Waterfalls Relic: This relic is located behind a waterfall. You’ll need to use your Ninja Hook to get to it.
- The Hidden Bridge Relic: This relic is located in a secret area under a bridge. You’ll need to use your air dash and some careful platforming to reach it.
- The Alleyway Relic: This relic is located in a small alleyway near the middle of the level. You’ll need to use your air dash to get to it.
- The Final Relic: This relic is located near the end of the level, just before the final boss. You’ll need to use your air dash and some well-timed jumps to get to a secret platform.
These are just a few of the Oboro Relic locations. While the journey to get all of them will be a long and challenging one, the reward is well worth it, as you’ll unlock a wide range of powerful new abilities and cosmetics that will make your journey as Joe Musashi a truly unforgettable one. Good luck, and happy hunting!
